Cpl. Ponder, better known as Ms. Kat to all that love her, Cpl. Ponder was injured in the line of duty in 2007 while transporting an inmate to the Screven County Jail. Sheriff Mike Kile awarded her the "Purple Heart" for that injury. In 2011 Cpl. Ponder became the School Resource Office for the Screven County Board of Education.
