The Sylvania Police Department has responded to multiple calls over the past few days where unlocked vehicles have been entered. There have been two firearms stolen out of two different vehicles in the St. Andrews/Abram Street area.

So far, the entering autos have been in the following areas: St. Andrews, Abram, Lariscy Lane, North Main, South Main, Railroad, South Hull, Cooper, Georgia, East Ogeechee, and Davis. There have also been a few just outside of the city limits. On the morning of February 3rd, the subjects escalated to breaking into businesses. The police department has been riding through neighborhoods and has had officers out on foot all night long last night. This morning February 4th the subjects attempted to go through two cars on Davis Street but were unsuccessful. Three businesses were broken into this morning February 4th and it appears to be two different subjects in the video. One subject had a gun in his pants at one store and the other subject had his gun pulled out at another store. All store locations were closed at the time they were burglarized, however, now these subjects are considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS. Please keep your car doors locked and please be observant. Trust me, we want to catch these subjects as much as you want them off the streets. Our officers have been working around the clock. Please do not leave any cash in your cash drawers or any valuables in your vehicles. We are asking the public to help us identify the subjects. Please be careful and call us if you see anything or anyone out of the ordinary. (912) 564-2056
