COSSAP/Comprehensive Stimulant and Substance Abuse Program

The Screven County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce that we are the recipients of a Federal Grant by the Bureau of Justice Administration for planning and implementing the "Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Program / COSSAP". This Grant will allow the Sheriff's Office to screen, counsel, and help inmates with substance abuse problems learn to stay off drugs, and learn to live productive lives once they are released from jail.

The program has a Case Manager / Facilitator who will organize groups and work with those groups to help these individuals who are trapped in the substance abuse cycle. The program will set up and follow up with these individuals who have joined the program. The program allows for the Case Manager to work with inmates setting up appointments with outside counselors and groups to help keep these individuals off drugs / stimulants used.

This program is only available to those individuals who are currently incarcerated at the Screven County Jail and seeking to end their addiction.
