The Sheriff's Office has participated in the DEA Drug Take Back Program for several years, with great success. The program allows the general public to dispose of outdated, or no longer needed medications in a safe and effective manner. If you have any prescription drugs you no longer need, just bring them to the Sheriff's Office and drop them in the lockbox in the lobby. We ask that you bring only prescription medications; over-the-counter drugs can be discarded with household waste. This program keeps old or unwanted drugs out of the hands of children and those who may abuse or otherwise illegally divert or sell them on the street, and gives citizens a safe and responsible method for disposal.
