The Screven County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce that they have beenawarded a federal Comprehensive Opiate, Stimulant, and Substance AbuseProgram (COSSAP) grant by the Bureau of Justice Administration for planningand implementing substance abuse screening and treatment.

Screven County residents, do not be alarmed if you hear or see low flying helicopters tonight, March 1, 2022. These are individuals on maneuvers. Please do not overload 911 or the Sheriff's Office with calls about the maneuvers. If you have a legitimate need for 911 or the Sheriff's Office, do not hesitate to call.
The Screven County Sheriff's Office is searching for Justin Allen Cannon, a white male, 150 pounds, approximately 6'3", 26 years of age.
Update** On February 4th 2022 at approximately 1700 hours the Sylvania Police Department and the Screven County Sheriffs Office executed a search warrant on a Robbins Street address and Tylik Sherron of Millen Georgia was arrested in connection with the entering autos and at least one of the burglaries that occurred within the last few days.
The Sylvania Police Department has responded to multiple calls over the past few days where unlocked vehicles have been entered. There have been two firearms stolen out of two different vehicles in the St. Andrews/Abram Street area.
