Sheriff Mike Kile regrets to inform the Public of the passing of William (Randy) Waters. Mr. Waters served as a Bailiff for the Screven County Court System. Condolences to the Family of Mr. Waters.

On 11-23-2021 at approximately 1500 hours the Screven County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a suspicious vehicle at an address on Whitehill Road in Screven County. Upon further investigation, 2 individuals were located in a pond on the property.

On 11-23-2021 at approximately 04:22 am, the Screven County Sheriff’s Department responded to a structure fire at 1430 Old Poor Robin Road at the request of the Screven County Fire Department. The fire department had discovered a body inside the structure.

The Drug Take Back program was a success but you can still continue to drop off your unused, no longer needed prescription-only medications any time throughout the year.

Missing Person  - Please be on the look out for Don Hightower from Scott Community, Wrightsville, GA.  He has not been seen since SATURDAY 10/30/2021 at 8:00pm.
