The Screven County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the VFW Post 7116 for recognizing us today. Four kind and good hearted Gentlemen from the VFW Sylvania, Georgia Post 7116 came to the Sheriff's Office bearing bag lunches for each Deputy, Jailer, and Administration Officer.

Once again the Sheriff's Office is participating in the Drug Take Back Program.

Accepting Prescription medications Only, that are outdated or no longer needed.  These medications can be dropped off between now and Oct. 21, 2021. 

On September 20, 2021 a Homicide occurred in Screven County.

Within hours of the Homicide, the Suspect was taken into custody. Screven County Deputies, Investigators worked along side of GBI and other agencies to apprehend the suspect.

A well coordinated effort by all law enforcement agencies involved.

Sheriff Kile is asking local church members responsible for the safety or security of church grounds to please be extra vigilant - the Sheriff's Office has received several complaints of suspicious activity near churches and a report of burglary at a church in southern Screven County recently.
